My Services

My goal is to help you better understand your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, what they mean, and how they relate to your everyday life. Together, we will work to deepen your awareness and understanding of your needs, desires, and patterns of relating, so you may experience a more authentic and fulfilling life.

I offer telehealth individual sessions for early adolescents, teens and adults. 

Trauma

Complex Trauma

  • Have you experienced a traumatic event or are struggling with the after-effects of past trauma?

  • Are you feeling lost in life, unsure of how to find your way?

  • Do you blame yourself for things that have happened in the past that weren't your fault?

  • Are you feeling stuck in a state of constant fear, negativity and feeling out of control?

  • Do you feel on edge, angry, or irritable often? 

  • Have you experienced childhood or generational trauma?

Trauma comes in many forms and can look very different to individuals who have experienced it. If you are struggling to cope with the symptoms of trauma or have experienced a traumatic event, you're not alone. Emotional distress can happen before and after a traumatic event. There’s no right or wrong way to feel. I am here to help you through this process to get to a point where you can feel like yourself again. 

Loss, Grief

Bereavement

  • Are you finding it difficult to cope with the loss of a loved one?

  • Are you experiencing symptoms of grief such as sadness, anger, guilt, or numbness?

  • Are you struggling to find meaning and purpose after the loss of a loved one?

  • Are you feeling overwhelmed, isolated, or alone in your grief, or having trouble carrying out normal routines?

  • Are you not eating, not sleeping, not wanting to get out of bed? Or perhaps sleeping or eating too much?

  • Are you struggling to adjust to your new reality in which your loved one is no longer present?

If you're experiencing symptoms of grief or mourning, you're not alone. Loss, grief, and bereavement are universal experiences that affect us all at some point in our lives. Whether it's the loss of a loved one, a relationship, a job, or even a pet, the emotional impact can be overwhelming. I am here to help, to listen, and to get you through this. 

Self-Esteem

Emotion Regulation​

  • Are you experiencing strong emotional reactions to events that would not normally affect other people?

  • Are you feeling overwhelmed by emotions or having intense emotions that are difficult to control?

  • Do you find yourself saying negative things about yourself or being overly critical of yourself? 

  • Do you often focus in on your negatives and ignore your achievements? 

  • Have you noticed more frequent angry outbursts, anxiety, depression, or other self-damaging behaviors?

It is normal for our emotions to fluctuate but if you find yourself struggling with frequent strong emotions that you can’t seem to manage, or some of the symptoms listed above, it is possible you might be experiencing emotional dysregulation. Over time, this condition may interfere with your quality of life, social interactions, and relationships at home, work, or school. 

LGBTQIA+

Life Transitions​

  • Do you struggle with gender identity, sexual orientation and curiosity or shame surrounding this?

  • Do you feel like you don't belong in the world, or even in your own skin?

  • Do you feel ashamed to be who you truly are, or worry about how to come out to your friends and family for fear of how they will react?

  • Do you ever feel like you've stepped into a world that doesn't feel built for you?

  • Are you tired of pretending to be someone that you're not?

  • Do you want to have more confidence and comfortability in being authentically you?

I recognize that navigating the complexities of gender and sexual identity can be challenging, especially in a world that often does not fully understand or accept these communities. Together, we can work to build your confidence and help you fully embrace your identity, whether you are gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, or any other part of the beautiful and diverse LGBTQIA+ community. 

Anxiety

Depression​

  • Are your energy levels at an all-time low, or feel like you are lacking motivation to do anything?

  • Are you feeling sad, overwhelmed or feel like you have lost your reason to smile?

  • Does it feel like you've lost the joyful feelings that you used to have in life?

  • Do you feel alone or like nobody understands what you're going through?

  • Are you feeling like you are in a constant state of worry, dread or fear?

  • Do you try to control your surroundings, but it leads to frustration, anger, or feeling overwhelmed?

Anxiety and depression are mental health conditions, not weaknesses. If you are experiencing any symptoms of anxiety or depression, taking that first step to ask for help may be difficult, but help and support is available to you. Please reach out, and together we can create a plan.

We will work to develop healthier communication skills, boundary-setting, and emotional awareness so that you will feel better equipped to manage these emotions in the future.

Military, Veterans & Family

Trauma, Complex Trauma, PTSD, MST

  • Are you active duty, a veteran, or a caregiver for someone prior service?

  • Are you active duty struggling with the stressors and trauma of a deployment, an upcoming med board, terminal leave or retirement?

  • Are you a veteran struggling with the stressors and trauma of PTSD, MST, or trying to transition and find your footing in the civilian world?

  • Are you a spouse or caregiver trying to balance being a caretaker, helper, spouse, parent and keep it all together, feeling as though no one understands what you are going through?
